Boarding Policy

JustFurPets Grooming LLC, Boarding provides a safe and comfortable environment for your pet while you are away. To ensure the well-being of all animals and staff, it is essential that pet owners understand and comply with the Boarding policies outlined below.

• Vaccinations: All dogs must be up to date on core vaccinations, including rabies, distemper, parvovirus, and Bordetella (kennel cough). Proof of vaccination is required prior to boarding. They must also have a negative intestinal parasite test and are on prevention.
• Health: Dogs must be free of contagious illnesses, parasites (fleas, ticks, worms), and should not show signs of illness upon arrival. If a dog becomes ill while boarding, emergency veterinary care may be sought at the owner’s expense. Please ensure we have a good conatact phone number if needed.  If fleas/ticks are found to be present while boarding with us, they will be treated at owner’s expense. Females MUST be spayed!!  
• Age: Puppies must be at least 16 weeks old and fully vaccinated to board. Senior dogs may require a veterinary certificate of good health.
• Behavior: Aggressive or anxious dogs may not be accepted. Must not show signs of aggression to any degree. (i.e. food, toys, territorial, etc.)  Dogs must be able to interact safely with staff and other animals.

Drop-off and Pick-up

• Hours: For boarding: Drop-off may occur at any time during business hours before 5pm.  Pick-ups will vary depending on whether grooming or bath was elected prior to check-in.  You will be sent a text when your dog is ready to go, only then you may pick up your dog. Please wait for text!!  
• Saturday pick-up/drop off will be available twice a day from 8:00a-9:00am and 4:00pm-5:00p by appointment only.  
• Sunday CLOSED
• Holidays CLOSED
• ALL weekend and holiday days are considered after hours and there will be an after-hours pick-up fee of $35.
• Late pick-ups will incur late fees.
• Authorization: Only individuals authorized by the owner may pick up the dog. Proper identification will be required. List of names that may pick up pets must be in account file.

Feeding and Medication

• Diet: Owners will need to provide their dog’s usual food to avoid digestive upset. Clear instructions should be given regarding feeding schedules and portions.
• Medication: All medications must be provided in original containers with detailed instructions. Inform staff of any special medical needs or allergies.

Personal Belongings

• Toys and Bedding: Owners may bring familiar toys or bedding to help their dog feel comfortable. Please label all items clearly.
• Leashes and Collars: Please take your leash and collar back with you unless someone else is picking up your dog.
• We are not responsible for lost or missing items.

Emergency Procedures

• Contact Information: Owners must provide current contact details and an emergency contact who can make decisions if the owner is unavailable.
• Veterinary Care: In the event of a medical emergency, the boarding/daycare facility will attempt to contact the owner or emergency contact before seeking veterinary care. If no contact is made, pet will be taken to the nearest animal hospital during business hours which is Tennessee Valley Animal Clinic. If after hours, pets will be taken to the emergency animal hospital in Florence.  You will be responsible for all charges incurred depending on circumstances

Payment and Cancellation

• Payment: Payment in full is due at pick-up.
• Cancellation: Cancellations made exceeding 48 hours of the scheduled boarding date will incur a cancellation fee.  Recurring cancellations will be denied future reservations.

Additional Policies

• Multi-Dog Households: Owners must specify whether dogs may be housed together. If they can stay together, the additional pet charge will be applied. If they cannot stay together, each dog will be charged the normal fee of one dog boarding.
• Special Needs: Discuss any behavioral or medical needs in advance to ensure the facility can accommodate your dog.

• Liability: Owners must sign waiver releasing the facility from responsibility for injuries or illnesses, except in cases of proven negligence.
