Employment

We are glad you are interested in being a part of our team! My goal is to have a staff that are well suited to work together. I like harmony. Lots of it.

Working with animals is what I think is the most rewarding job I have ever had. Day in and day out, animals are in my life to some degree. They can bring a joy like no other.  Being able to help clients care for their pets is an honor. And most dogs we make a bond with. We notice things that clients may not have known and can advise them on care or that they need to seek out veterinarian attention.

We also work hard. We work with easy dogs to the most difficult. We work with the cleanest dogs to the nastiest.  We work with the youngest to the oldest. This job does carry risks. I have been bitten many times, but I have been licked more.

If you want to be a member of this team, fill out the application. Your job will depend on the position you are seeking. Bathers/salon assistants will be responsible for cleaning salon and kennels. They will also assist groomers when needed. Part of the job will also include light office work. Anything from filing to making appointments to checking out clients. If you are hired for the afternoon shift you will prepare dogs for dismissal. This includes brushing, combing, blow drying and nail trims. If you are hired for the morning shift, you will learn the bathing process. This is not like bathing your dog at home! Pay will depend on experience as a whole. Tips are also a bonus. If you are applying for a groomer position. We prefer Experienced groomers. Groomers are paid on commission and that too depends on experience.  Everyone receives W2s. If you want to be a groomer, the process is not going to happen overnight. I recommend you apply for the bather/salon assistant position, if hired, prove your worth and training could be in your future if you are patient and can hang on long enough to learn.

To submit your application, come by the salon and ask for one or print and fill out the form below. You may bring it to the salon, submit it by email or Facebook messenger. I prefer no phone calls about employment! We look forward to meeting you and to see if you will be the right person for the job. ~Michelle, Owner/Groomer
